Workshop on SDGs & Innovation with 3M - CII Young Innovators Challenge Awards 2021

The Dais team partnered with 3M - CII Young Innovators Challenge Awards 2021 to host a workshop on SDGs and Innovation with inspiring Innovators from around the country.
The session started with introductory remarks from Ms Indrani Sharma from YICA, followed by discussion on SDGs and Innovation led by Mr. Keshav Gupta from The Dais. The session also provided an opportunity for the Innovators to interact and network with each other during break out rooms moderated by The Dais team, Ms. Jasmine Susan Jose, Ms. Muskan Ajitsaria, Ms. Aastha Vyas, Ms. Anoushka Vellara, Ms. Dhwani Shah, Ms. Manvi Nagpal and Mr. Yuvraj Rallapalli.
The session focused on building understanding around how Innovation is related to SDGs and how Innovators can create impact and align together with with SDGs towards a better world and a better India.
It is critical to empower youth to lead SDG Action through various initiatives and We would like to thank all the wonderful participants, our partners and colleagues for an extremely enriching experience for all of us.

The Dais at HLPF 2021

July 15, 2021

Our team led by Mr. Keshav Gupta worked with the MGoS to prepare and present the CSO Response to the VNR presented by the Government of Afghanistan. We emphasized on the need for Peace and Security in Afghanistan as a necessary condition for achievement of SDGs, besides the need to empower and engage youth, civil society and focus on combating poverty, eliminating hunger, creating safe spaces for girls and women, skilling and jobs and providing clean energy to the country.The need for continued support from external partners and stakeholders was also pointed out during the joint statement under the CSO Response. 

We are grateful to all our partners in Afghanistan, mentors for their commitment & constantly working for a better life for Afghan people.

HIGH-LEVEL POLITICAL FORUM 2021 UNDER THE AUSPICES OF ECOSOC

The high-level political forum on sustainable development (HLPF) is the core United Nations platform for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The HLPF discussed ways to ensure a sustainable and resilient recovery from COVID-19 that puts us on track to realize the 2030 Agenda. The theme was "Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that promotes the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development: building an inclusive and effective path for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development". The HLPF in 2021 discussed Sustainable Development Goals 1 on no poverty, 2 on zero hunger, 3 on good health and well-being, 8 on decent work and economic growth, 10 on reduced inequalities, 12 on responsible consumption and production, 13 on climate action, 16 on peace, justice and strong institutions, and 17 on partnerships in depth. The Forum also considered the integrated, indivisible and interlinked nature of the Sustainable Development Goals.

42 countries carried out voluntary national reviews (VNRs) of their implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Catalyst 2030 is a global movement of social entrepreneurs and social innovators from all sectors who share the common goal of creating innovative, people-centric approaches to attain the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

​

Catalyst 2030 began as a conversation among like-minded social entrepreneurs in July 2019 and was officially launched at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2020. It has rapidly turned into global movement that is starting to make a tangible difference, and turning the SDG goals into reality.

Ms. Angel Pai joins The Dais as Education & Youth Empowerment Ambassador

The Dais team welcomes Ms. Angel Pai as their Education & Youth Empowerment Ambassador. Ms. Angel has previously supported The Dais in several programs on SDGs, Education, Youth Empowerment through her active involvement and encouragement. 


Angel is an actress, TV host, jewelry designer, artist, entrepreneur, model and speaker. Having appeared in movies and TV shows in the last decade, Angel has channeled her humanitarian drive through all aspects of her life, including media works such as her current NYC VIBE segments on PBS All Arts- where she specializes in events coverage of humanitarian efforts in the fields of art, fashion, and entertainment. She most recently co-founded Keep Breathing, Inc., a nonprofit created in evolving response to provide COVID-19 relief. Keep Breathing. Inc provides open-source designs and manufacturing of critical medical support material for relief efforts. Keep Breathing also manufactures and donates 3D-printed ventilator splitters, intubation boxes, ear savers and PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) for medical staff on the front line during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Dais SDG Lab at Kabul, Afghanistan

The need to empower youth for a better future is connected to elevating a nation as well as equipping them to handle the challenges that the SDG’s have laid on a global front. The Dais & Rana University along with partners from Academia and Civil Society from Afghanistan, Indonesia and India gathered together towards setting up of The Dais SDG Lab at Rana University, Afghanistan.
The Dais SDG Labs Program was instituted by The Dais on 24th October, 2019, United Nations Day to empower educational institutions and youth towards achievement of SDGs through sensitization, capacity building, social entrepreneurship and collaborations.

Our Founder at TedxCountdown

September 25th, 2020

In his talk, Keshav Gupta, a prominent youth leader, illustrates how you can engage with climate action. He talks about the 'head, heart and hand' approach as being key in combating climate change. He simplifies the rather daunting issue of climate change and demonstrates how you can turn the tables on climate change.
